In the wise words of Mary Poppins, “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun!” Come see Mount de Sales’ production of the P. L. Travers and Walt Disney favorite, Mary Poppins, to show your support of MDSA and MSJ drama students and help foster appreciation of the arts.

Playing the legendary lead role, senior Mary Morency, though sad to be graduating this year, couldn’t be happier to end with such a musical. “It’s bittersweet…I’m very fortunate that Mary Poppins is my last show with Mount de Sales because it’s one of my favorite shows and my dream role, and now I get to perform it with all of my friends for a community that I’ve grown to love so much” she remarks.

The show is easy for children to understand and relate to, yet entertaining for all ages. “Over the past four years, the people that I’ve worked with in Mount de Sales’ drama have become my family and that stage is a second home. However, I’m ready to jump into the next chapter in my life and see what’s in store” says Mary. Watch the hard work of this Broadway-ready actress, as well as countless other cast and crew members, pay off. The show is in the Mount St. Joseph Fine Arts Center, Friday, January 30th at 7pm, Saturday January 31st at 1pm and 7pm, and Sunday, February 1st at 1pm. Tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets for $10, or free for children under the age of 4. Contact aromeo@mountdesales.org for further information.
