Recent graduate placed on Inside Lacrosse Top 30 Incoming Freshman List

Amanda Ignacio tops the list as number 10 on Inside Lacrosse Top 30 Incoming Freshma
Amanda rocked the Mount de Sales lacrosse team and the IAAM league her senior season with 87 goals, 34 assists, and 49 ground balls. Amanda’s skills have led her to become an Under Armor All-American, US Lacrosse All-American, First Team All-Met selection, All League choice and the MVP of the 2014 MdSA lacrosse season.

Amanda chose to take her lacrosse skills to the renowned Georgetown University, women’s lacrosse team. The team tops the NCAA top 100 division I women’s lacrosse programs at number 18.
Amanda has been playing lacrosse since she was five years old. She played for MD club lacrosse team. To prepare for her first season at Georgetown, Amanda worked with the Loyola’s Women’s Lacrosse. Amanda is enjoying her time so far and is,
“Most looking forward to playing against teams that I watched for so many years like Maryland, UNC and Duke…The change from high school to college lacrosse is a huge difference…everything is 20x faster!” said Ignacio

So far Amanda’s favorite college moment was scoring her first goal in a scrimmage against Navy.
