Last year, Catholic speaker Megan Mastroianni, walked onto the stage of a Steubenville Conference to thousands of teens cheering. This year, Mount de Sales Academy welcomes her as the new Director of Campus Ministry with just as much excitement.
“I already love it here at Mount de Sales, I feel like this is truly where I‘m meant to be because I know how hard it is for young girls to find their way and I am excited to be that voice that they are not hearing from the media,” said Miss Mastroianni.
Growing up in upstate New York and attending Schalmont High School, she truly encountered Christ for the first time on a mission trip to Mexico. Since then she has traveled, evangelizing, in Florida, Haiti, Jamaica, Louisiana, and Lourdes, France.
Miss Mastroianni graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio, then worked for Generation Life for three years. As a speaker, she has given talks to students in Jamaica, at a Steubenville Youth Conference, and at World Youth Day 2011 in Madrid. As well as on EWTN’s Life On the Rock, and on retreats all over the United States. Miss Mastroianni has spoken on several different topics such as pro-life issues, Theology of the Body, Modesty, chastity, and Confession.
At Mount de Sales Academy, her passion for her faith will help her in guiding 478 young girls to the joy of service. In her newly painted office, Miss Mastroianni is also ready and excited to provide advice to bring students closer to God.
